Palm Springs is not just the ideal vacation destination, it is also a culinary haven that foodies would love visit. Right now it’s trailing its more popular neighbors like LA and Beverly Hills, but Palm Springs is not far behind. Check out the Palm Springs Travel guide below to help you locate some of the best restaurants in the area.]

Norma's
Located at 4200 E Palm Canyon Dr, Parker Palm Springs, Norma’s is a rather sparse, white-painted restaurant with hardwood ceilings and floors. The plain interior though should be the last of your concerns; Norma’s scrumptious dishes like banana-macadamia nut flapjacks, seared rock lobster and asparagus omelet, huevos rancheros and more, are responsible for adding color to the place. If money is no object, order the lobster frittata – which normally costs $100 – add 10 ounces of Sevruga Caviar to enhance the taste even more and be prepared to shell out &1,000.

Melvyn’s Restaurant
Melvyn’s Inn-Restaurant offers continental cuisine that is perhaps the best in the area. Entrées like the filet mignon en croute stuffed with oysters and dressed with herb tomato sauce and signature veal Ingleside with mousseline sauce and fettuccine have received praises from many an upscale critique. Located at 200 W Ramon Rd, Ingleside Inn, Melvyn’s also has an antique oak and mahogany bar called Casablanca which is where you can enjoy delightful mixes; two world-class cellars stocked with first-class vintages from all over the world.

Spencer’s
Located at 701 W. Baristo Road, Spencer’s offers an eclectic menu that has kept guests coming back, but still undecided whether the place is excellent or just very, very good.  Cradled at the base of the mountains, Spencer’s offers scenic views.  The restaurant’s menu changes as the day wears on, going from hearty yet elegant comfort foods in the morning to a mix of classic and innovative offerings for dinner. You will also find that lobster is a menu staple or a main ingredient in many of the dishes, whether it’s for lunch or dinner. Try their Maine lobster or any of the soft shell crabs in season. You also shouldn’t miss their traditional Cobb Salad which isn’t very traditional at all since it allows for many substitutions; and their crispy oysters. For a the best Spencer’s dining experience though, order one of their seasonal specials which usually brings together creativity and comfort mixed in with good locavore values.
