My Perfect Weekend... |
|
| My mom and I have not been together since I have started on my first year in the university. Well, I’ve always told her that it is never easy to catch up every once in a while since school works are just pouring in like crazy drops of the rain. Well, you know how mothers can be a little too uptight at times. So in one perfect holiday, I insisted on coming with her since she was planning to drive to my aunt’s in Palm Springs. It is really nice to say that the 30 minutes of driving weren’t really as awkward as I thought it would be. We just went on this full gabfest of so many things we have never talked about before we reach the home of my Aunt. We know that Palm Springs is one thriving desert destination with all of the top- of the line attractions and not to mention, fabulous establishments and events that make it a brilliant place to go to. We went to the Palm Canyon Drive which is the town center right after the long chat with my lovely aunt. The town center is a brilliant place to visit if I were you. There were a lot of fantastic shops to choose from, food from several restaurants to drool over and of course other amazing treats. After long hours of strolling and shoe-hogging, we ate at a Mexican restaurant. It was named Las Casuelas Terraza. Fancy, right? I loved this place. I enjoyed a half order of their quesadilla Terraza and I swear I can still taste that melted cheese that went so well with their beef and that sauce. As my mom was a former drama instructor, we went to visit what I have read on the web, this place called The Fabulous Palm Springs Follies at the southern part of the town center. It was a Broadway- like performance and we had absolute fun. The guy who played the main character was hilarious! And the production was a success. I looked at mom and she was all smiles. It was really an amazing weekend. |
